On the 23rd October we took part in the first of many competitions, the Inter-Federation Cross Country. Four children from each year 3,4,5 and 6 were selected to compete. Years 3 and 4 had to run around Oakfield park twice whereas Year 5 and 6 had to complete a gruelling three laps.
The races were spectacular with points awarded for every place finish so it was important for every child to try their best, something that they certainly did. As the afternoon came to a close it was a tense time when we waited for the results.
The children did an amazing job and ran their socks off, but it was not to be Temple Hill's day. Oakfield won with 82 points against Temple Hill's 69 points. A massive well done to everyone who ran and a huge thank you to everyone who came to show their support!
We will have to wait until the next competition to hopefully regain ownership of the cup!
