Handball Tournament Years 5/6

On Tuesday 21st March, Temple Hill took part in the District Sports Games Handball Tournament organised and run by Jon Rye, our School Games Organiser.

Eight children from years 5 and 6 travelled to North Kent College hoping for some glory! Our first game found us up against local rivals Holy Trinity, both teams appeared to play it safe with the game ending 0-0. We then had a 45 minute wait until our next match which was against Gateway.  We knew this was our hardest match as they hadn't lost a game and were playing exceptionally well, despite great play by us we couldn't hold onto to a draw and finally lost 1-0.  Our third game was against Bean and having watched them previously this should have been a win for us, but sadly we came away losing 3-1. Our fourth game saw us come alive against Crockenhill and we smashed it 5-1 only to go on and lose our final group game 3-2.

Finishing fifth in our group we then had a play off match against The Brent, coming away with a 2-0 win, to see us finish 8th overall.

A massive well done to the team - Jedi, Rishaun, Demi, Fatmata, Lillie-May, Lillie-Jo, Richard, Izzuna and Lee.
