Temple Hill 4 - 3 West Hill

Temple Hill 4 - 3 West Hill

Temple Hill finally earned their first three points of the season after a hard fought match against locals West Hill.  The match, played amid the risk of a torrential downpour throughout, was intense from start to finish.  The first goal came after 10 minutes with a high ball from the midfield sending Mitchell on his way to scoring his second of the season.  10 minutes later, William scored his first of the season after some neat play on the edge of the box tangled West Hill defenders and left him to stroke the ball home, 2-0.

A West Hill comeback was on the cards after a great strike from their number 12 saw them get a goal back just before half time.  Yet with moments of the half left, a trip on William in the box earned Temple Hill a penalty and Kyran smashed the ball home. Half time, 3-1.

The second half saw many players become fatigued and West Hill began clawing their way back into the game with some neat play down the wing releasing a striker who calmly placed the ball into the bottom right corner. However, a great strike by Femi saw Temple Hill extend their lead with only minutes to go.  A late goal by West Hill threatened a victory, but Temple Hill defended resolutely to see the game out.
