Blast From the Past Film Premiere Thursday 2pm
We are finishing our topic with an extremely exciting exit point this term. We have all been very busy creating a fun-filled documentary about everything we've learnt. This is an afternoon not to be missed! Refreshments will be on sale and you can pick up your own copy of the DVD for just £3! All the profits we make are going to be put into a special treat day to reward the children for their amazing work on this project. Hope to see you there!
Check out our dino art - we used a variety of mediums to create them.
Our Term 5 topic is Footprints From the Past...today we had some strange footprints on our desks!
Inspire Day - What is courage?
For Inspire Day we looked at the Olympic Values and thought about how we can model them in our own lives. Here's what we think courage is...
A smashing start to our new topic - Digital Gamers!
Our Personal Learning Goal for this term is 'Adaptability'. We worked together to share ideas of how we can cross the gap from Year 2 to Year 3 by adapting to the high expectations of our teachers. We also advised them how they can adapt their lessons to make them 'outstanding' by creating rainbow cakes for them!
During 'plant week' we learnt about the different parts of the plant and their roles, how they are adapted to live in different environments and we even used them to create art inspired by Andy Goldworthy.
During our entry point we visited the Enchanted Forest to explore the habitats there. We saw spiders on their webs, fox holes, snails with their homes on their backs, woodlouse under logs and even a small grass snake hiding in the grass.
Kelly Holmes's message to Year 3
This week we've been learning and sharing about Kelly Holmes. It was really exciting to watch the video she recorded for us and receive our signed book! We have also been completing team-building activities so we can practise working together.
Where learning, laughter, challenge and community responsibility are encouraged and celebrated!
