Football Tournament
Temple Hill, Oakfield and West Hill come together 6 times a year in a bid to win the Inter-Galaxy Trust Cup. Our competition calendar got underway on Tuesday 10th October when Temple Hill hosted the first tournament of the year, 7 aside football.
We got off to a fantastic start in our first match against West Hill, taking the lead early on. We attacked hard and played some great set pieces, but unfortunately could not hold on to the lead. West Hill came back stronger equalising soon after and then went on to score the winning goal. Final score 2-1 to West Hill.
Our second match against Oakfield was just as hard as our first, but in true Temple Hill style we were not going down without a fight. The team dug deep and their hard work paid off with a victory win.
With everything to play for the final match between West Hill and Oakfield did not disappoint. It was a tough match for both teams, but West Hill held their nerve and went on to win not only the game but the tournament too!
Final standings: First place WEST HILL, second place TEMPLE HILL and third place OAKFIELD.
Congratulations to West Hill and well done to everyone who took part.
Next tournament is scheduled for 14th November at Oakfield.
