Nursery (Arty Ants & Busy Bees)

Mr Dawson came to visit us in Nursery. He enjoyed making bird pies, reading us a story and pretending to be in a cage.

We enjoyed it when our Mummy's and daddy's came to Nursery for a 'Stay and Play' session.

We enjoy 'Dough Disco' at Nursery. We squeeze the dough to music and this will help to strengthen our fingers and hands for writing.

In Nursery we enjoy making and writing. Maria is able to write her own name and the names of her Mummy and Grandma. Kiera, Aston and Ceasar can write their names independently and Ricky is able to copy his name.

In Nursery we help our new friends to settle in and show them how to use our resources.

Michael Rosen came to Nursery. We enjoyed meeting him and had great fun when he performed 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. The children and teachers all joined in with the actions.

We had fun when the Mobile Farm visited Nursery. Henry held a chick and Harrison fed a lamb with a bottle.

Teachers - Julie Freeman, Jo Gill & Nicola Procter

Associate Teachers - Katie Goode, Hillary Pitzey & Dawn Biswell

Our new children are settling in well and making new friends. They are coming into Nursery and choosing lots of new activities. The children are really having fun in the outdoor area and are busy learning new skills.

We are teaching the children some new songs and rhymes and they are enjoying story time. We will be concentrating on name recognition this term and hope that the children will be able to recognise their own name.

In Nursery we focus on learning through play and our own personal experiences.

Here are some photographs of the work we have done so far this term.

Look at our lovely displays the children have worked hard to make for our Nursery.
