Breakfast/After School Club Assistant

West Hill Primary Academy is looking for a hardworking, flexible member of staff to join the Breakfast/After School Club team.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in childcare and a commitment to work in this environment.

The position is for 12.5 hours a week, which will include x 5 mornings a week and x2 afternoon sessions. The duties include setting up for breakfast/after school club, food service/washing up, planning activities, supervising play, escorting children to their classes and keeping our children safe. There is flexibility for the right candidate.

The role will be part time, term time only.

Our school is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of our children. All appointments will be subject to a full DBS disclosure

We are seeking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant for an immediate start to support our pupils. Candidates from a variety of backgrounds are welcome to apply; however, some experience of working in a school environment / having worked with children would be expected.

Experience of working with children with ASD is desirable although not essential.

The successful candidate would ideally possess GSCE’s (or equivalent) in English & Maths at grade C or above.

Ongoing training will be provided and there are opportunities for career development and progression. 

The role is a part time, term time only position, 0.5 FTE (16.25 hours per week), Monday – Friday, 38 weeks per year. KR3 Kent Range, 0.5 FTE (actual salary £6,310) Flexible working hours would be considered.
