Welcome to Temple Hill
I am delighted to welcome you to Temple Hill Primary Academy, and our website!
Temple Hill is a rapidly improving community school with many significant strengths. When Ofsted judged Temple Hill to be a satisfactory school, they clearly identified these strengths, and we continue to build on these.
I am very proud to be the Executive Headteacher of Temple Hill. I am determined to ensure all Temple Hill children have the best opportunities for learning, and are able to leave Temple Hill at the end of their primary careers, ready to take on the challenges of secondary school.
Temple Hill works closely with Oakfield Primary Academy in a federation of the two schools. Over the coming terms and years, children of Temple Hill will have additional opportunities to work with Oakfield.
Temple Hill has lots to offer the children and families that it serves. We welcome visitors to the school. I hope you enjoy our website and if you would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

Temple Hill Primary Academy is a large school with 665 children aged 3-11 years on roll currently.
The School has been open for approximately 52 years and serves a large residential catchment area. 26 different languages are spoken by our children who come from diverse backgrounds. Currently we have 37% FSM.
The School is organised into three main sections:
We are fortunate in having a spacious building comprising 24 classrooms, 2 halls, 2 libraries (FS / KS1 and KS2), 2 canteens, 2 FLO offices, a sensory room, a play therapy room, an Outdoor Learning Bus, counselling rooms, a speech and language room, a care suite, offices and resource areas outside some classrooms.
The school benefits from an extensive range of equipment and apparatus. All classrooms have at least one computer and an interactive white board.
The Nursery, Reception and Year 1 have extensive outdoor classroom areas.
Two large playgrounds are supplemented by a huge playing and sports field, specially designed / cultivated ‘Secret Garden’ and our new allotment. The latter serves as an environmental study area for classes and a School Club; it also provides a ‘quiet’ rest area for pupils who wish to sit and talk at break times (mainly in the Spring and Summer months).
The playing field provides two football pitches which, in turn, become athletic tracks / areas in the Summer.
