Equality and Diversity
We are committed here at Temple Hill to support, recognise and celebrate the differences within our local community. As a school we are expected to actively promote the "protected characteristics" of the Equality Act (2010). They are:
- Age
- Disability
- Gender reassignment
- Marriage and civil partnership
- Pregnancy and maternity
- Race
- Religion or belief
- Sex
- Sexual orientation
This means it is unlawful to discriminate against someone based on the above characteristics.
We consider and address issues around Equality and Diversity through our assembly programme, our School Council, Philosophy for Children sessions and our everyday curriculum.
