Leon Dawson
Head of School
Positive, Passionate and Hardworking is how I would describe myself. I come from a large family with an English/Caribbean background. I love eating, exercise and seeing/doing new things in the world. I have worked with children in a variety of different settings before I became a teacher as well as doing a wide range of jobs including labouring, factory work, restaurants and cleaning. My main passion in life (other than Tottenham Hotspur!) is to improve the life chances of the children I work with. I am also a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Darren Povey (Parent Governor)
I am a married dad of two children, one at secondary school who attended Temple Hill and one currently at the school. Following a road traffic accident involving my son last year, I became a key member of Dartford Safer Roads, which campaigns for measures to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities within the Borough of Dartford. This has led me to become part of the council's working group for school road safety, which is working to address the difficulties that Temple Hill and other schools within Dartford are having with parking and road safety. As a Parent Governor, I believe this experience, along with my involvement with the Leigh Academy Parents Forum will be invaluable to the school, the children and parents.
